S.O.S Backup uses the MySQLDump utility to perform online backup.
In the MySQL database properties, enter your user name and password, host, file log, and check if it's "full." S.O.S Backup will then automatically find the Dump utility.
You can also set additional parameters depending on your knowledge of MySQL.
Online backup of PostgreSQL 8.2/8.3/8.4

S.O.S Backup uses the PgAdmin utility to perform online backup.
In the PostgreSQL database properties, enter your user name and password, host, file log, and check if it's "full." S.O.S Backup will then automatically find the PgAdmin utility.
You can also set additional parameters depending on your knowledge of PostgreSQL.
S.O.S Backup also runs on Windows Vista and 2008.
*The disaster recovery jobs and the disaster recovery boot are not available for Windows Vista and 2008.

Microsoft Automated Server Recovery (ASR) integration
This option allows S.O.S Backup to integrate with Microsoft's Automated Server Recovery (ASR).

S.O.S Backup can create a CD/DVD image of a file in the .ISO extension of the Joliet ISO 9660 format.
Complete cleaning of CD/DVD media
The media cleanup executed before the backup can be done quickly or completely.
When you need to perform a backup after an event or action outside of the S.O.S Backup program, you can execute a backup job through a DOS prompt or batch file (.BAT).

Do you want to protect files that are stored on a FTP server? S.O.S Backup backs them up from anywhere in the world.
The backups on FTP can be easily restored by connecting to the server where they are stored.
